PAK CHOI MEIQUING ("May-ching-choi")

This is considered a "Baby Bok Choy" variety, the leaves are very tender and the heads are smaller heads than other varieties. The crunchy center stalk is pale green, and perfect for stir fries. The darker outer leaves, are excellent in salads as they stay crispier than lettuce. This Shanghai variety is heat and cold tolerant and slow to bolt. It is best if harvested before flowers appear and leaves start to turn bitter. Pak Choy is a quick
growing plant that can also be used as an
ornamental accent in mixed decorative containers
for a bold element. For best results feed with a
liquid or slow release fertilizer.
